Hi guys Not been in for some time so there are a few topics I have missed, So not sure if this is common knowledge.
I have just returned from a 6 month break and on my return I have a slight problem.
The problem I am having is since I have switched to a 64bit system XP I am having a freezing problem, the screen locks up for 20 to 30 or even 50 sec. Some have been longer than others.
First I thought it was my ms but it happens over a range from 120 to 400's.
I was reading other treads and seen someone say that there are some freezing issues with 64bit.
Can any one confirm this as I would rather keep the 64bit so my full 8 gig of ram is supported.
Things I have tried with no avail
Turned back my CPU overclock (with no change)
I have turned back all my super clock settings on my cards (with no change)
I swooped from max res to a lower res and it seems to happen less but still frequent. (little change)
Test on other games COD4.Modern Warfare (ran fine)
All benchmark programs run fine (not a stability problem with machine)
Also it never dc's just freezes.
I am sure it is not my connection as I get on my other machine and it is fine. I just want to play on my Gaming pc not my browser pc.
I can live with it at the moment. It is stuffing up my DF's
