I'm a lvl 56 Hunter with a very nice dagger and all the skills.
I can kill Koliagers and the various boss familiars with no problem.
Not ready for Ellipse and and higher yet.
I should be able to kill Clays.
But, the attacks of Clay keep any of the dagger skills from working.
Something about the timing I guess. I can't ever get a dagger skill to trigger.
Not V-Step, Dead Spin, Rolling attack or Silent killer. They are all completely blocked by the repeated attacks of Clay.
I would expect occasionally to be blocked by the Clay doing a stun or whatever, but there is no way to break through. I have tried this on 5 or 6 Clay and the result is always the same. Trieste - Blades by the way, although I can't believe that this would matter... Response is 288ms or better for the network, so it's not a lag problem.
If a Captain Rock Press shows up and I attack him, then the Clay spell will be broken even if the Clay is still attacking.
I attack the C Rock Press and the Clay takes damage.
This seems like a bug somewhere. I'm not asking for it to be easy to kill Clay, but for it to be possible to kill it with an appropriately strong character of any type with any weapon.

UPDATE: To kill a Clay by itself, trigger the skill with a right click on the ground next to it. For some reason the right click does not register on the Clay or on an Ellipse... You can trigger dagger skills for either by clicking on the ground next to them with Rolling Attack or Silent Killer. So that's the bug...Right click is not processed for these monsters - at least for the Hunter dagger skills. I didn't seem to have any problem with my AK and dual axe skills.
